Terms of Service

Last updated: October 13, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Bounty Studio, Inc., doing business as Dare (“Bounty Studio,” “Dare,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). They govern your access to and use of the Dare app and all related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time; material changes will be announced in the app. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Service Description

Dare is an AI image and video creation service. The Service lets you:

  • Generate media: create images and videos from prompts and reference media, including product shots and animations of still images
  • Edit and transform: edit videos with instructions, swap characters into scenes, transfer motion, relight media, and upscale results
  • Work with speech: turn a script into spoken audio, dub a video into another language with the speaker’s lips matched to the new audio, and replace the voice in a video
  • Store, revisit, and build on your generations in a personal library

Generations consume credits, which are included with subscriptions or purchased as one-time packs.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dare. If you are under the age of majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and authorize any purchase. By using the Service, you represent that these requirements are met.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for loss arising from your failure to protect your sign-in credentials.

4. Your Content

4.1 What You May Upload

You may only upload media you own or have permission to use. If media includes a real person’s face, voice, likeness, performance, or other personal information, you must have that person’s permission and all other rights needed to upload the media, have it processed by AI service providers, create the requested result, and use or share that result. This requirement applies to every person shown or heard in source media, not only the person being swapped or edited. You represent and warrant that your uploads, instructions, and requested generations comply with these Terms and applicable law.

4.2 Ownership

You keep ownership of the media you upload. You own the generations you create to the extent permitted by law, and we take no ownership of them. You grant us the limited, non-exclusive license needed to store, process, reproduce, and display your content so the Service can function, including sharing the prompts, instructions, and specific media needed for a generation with the third-party AI service provider that processes it. When you choose Generate after the Service shows this disclosure, you authorize Dare to make that transfer for the generation and related safety processing you requested.

Uploading content, making a project visible, or sharing a link does not grant another Dare user permission to copy or remix that content. The Service permits project copying only by the project owner. You must separately obtain all rights needed to reuse any third-party material in your own project.

4.3 Safety Standards

These Safety Standards apply to your prompts, uploads, requested generations, generated output, and use of the Service. You may not use the Service to create, process, or distribute content that:

  • Uses a real person’s face, voice, likeness, or intimate imagery without permission, or facilitates stalking, harassment, bullying, blackmail, or threats
  • Sexually exploits or endangers a minor, depicts sexual content involving a minor, or otherwise facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation
  • Impersonates another person to deceive, defraud, or cause harm, or misrepresents synthetic media as authentic evidence of a real event
  • Promotes or facilitates illegal activity, fraud, violence, hate, terrorism or violent extremism, self-harm, or dangerous wrongdoing
  • Infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights

The third-party AI provider selected for a generation may use automated systems to evaluate prompts, input media, and output against its safety policies. When a selected provider declines a request for safety reasons, Dare’s server enforces that decision by stopping the run, recording it as failed, showing a user-facing failure state, and refunding the credits charged for that failed run. Safety checks vary by provider, tool, and content and do not replace your responsibility to follow these Standards.

We may investigate reports, remove content, and restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Standards. We may preserve and report information where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or address suspected child exploitation or other serious harm. Report suspected violations to support@trydare.com.

5. Subscriptions and Credits

5.1 Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe or Apple’s App Store, depending on the checkout you use, and renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel Stripe subscriptions from your plan’s billing settings, and App Store subscriptions from your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid the next charge. Plan credits are granted monthly, including on annual subscriptions. Deleting your Dare account does not cancel a subscription with either provider.

5.2 Credits

  • Credits are consumed when a generation starts, including generations whose results you later dislike; if a generation fails, its credits are refunded automatically
  • Credits never expire. This includes subscription credits, purchased credit packs, promotional credits, and credits restored after a failed generation. Unused credits accumulate and remain available after a subscription ends
  • Plan credits are granted monthly, including on annual subscriptions. Cancelling a subscription stops future grants when the paid subscription period ends; it does not expire credits already granted
  • Credits have no cash value and are not transferable

5.3 Refunds

For purchases processed by Stripe, consumed credits are not refundable except where required by law. For App Store purchases, request a refund through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple determines refund eligibility under its applicable policies. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer law.

A refunded purchase may have its remaining credits removed. Deleting your account removes its credit balance.

6. AI Output

AI-generated output can be inaccurate, unexpected, or resemble other content. You are responsible for reviewing generations before relying on or sharing them, and for how you use them. Output does not represent real events unless you make that true yourself — be thoughtful about how you present AI media to others.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Circumvent credit accounting, rate limits, or purchase flows
  • Access the Service with automated tools or attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service or its models
  • Interfere with the proper operation of the Service

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Content and Third-Party Services

The Dare app, including all software, designs, text, and imagery provided by us, is owned by Bounty Studio, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission. Section 4 governs ownership of your content.

You must have rights to every part of media you use, including its video, music, images, trademarks, and any person’s likeness. A public post or download link is not evidence of permission. Permission from a creator does not by itself authorize access to or downloading from a third-party platform; any such use must also be permitted by that platform’s terms and any required authorization.

Dare does not offer social-video importing from pasted YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook links. Use a video file you own or are authorized to upload. Do not bypass another service’s access controls or download restrictions to obtain source media.

8.2 Copyright and Rights Reports

To report suspected copyright or other rights infringement, email support@trydare.com with the subject “Copyright or rights report.” Include your contact information, identify the work or rights you claim, identify the specific Dare content or link involved, and explain why you believe the use is unauthorized. If you act for a rights holder, describe your authority to act for them. Copyright notices should also include your physical or electronic signature, a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the owner.

We review reports, may request supporting information, and may remove or disable access to infringing content. We may notify the affected user and accept a response or evidence of authorization. We may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. This reporting process does not grant permission to use disputed material or replace any rights or remedies under applicable law.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY GENERATION WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BOUNTY STUDIO, INC., DOING BUSINESS AS DARE, AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bounty Studio, Inc., doing business as Dare, and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases; provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms otherwise remain in full force and effect.
